I hope you all enjoyed the month of October and were able to participate in many of the fall festivities! We are entering the final months of 2024. That does not mean things are slowing up in Prince William County. In November, we will be honoring our veterans for their sacrifice to our Country, and gathering with our families and friends around the table for Thanksgiving and celebrating Native American Heritage Day.

We celebrated Diwali, a festival that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. I want to extend my warm wishes to everyone observing this beautiful festival of lights. May you and your loved ones experience joy and happiness during this special time.

Virginia Business Higher Education Council

Delegate Torian receiving the inaugural Chairman’s Award with Growth4VA Chair Dennis H. Treacy and Former Speaker Kurt Cox

This week, I and my Senate colleague, President Pro Tempore L. Louise Lucas, received the Virginia Business Higher Education Council’s inaugural Chairman’s Award. This award is to honor individuals who have championed investment and innovation for higher education in Virginia. Accessible college has been a priority of mine since I was first elected to the House of Delegates, and I am proud of all the work we in the General Assembly have accomplished for students and institutions during my time as Chairman of Appropriations.
