As we move through June, we take time to celebrate the voices and communities that shape our shared future. This month’s updates highlight key moments of reflection, recognition, and civic engagement across Prince William County.
2025 Primaries
On Tuesday, June 17, all polling places in Virginia will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Virginia voters will help decide the primary candidates for the Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and all 100 members of the House of Delegates. Click here to learn more about the candidates.
Early voting remains open through Saturday, June 14th, for Virginia’s Primary Election Day on Tuesday, June 17th.
As residents of Prince William County, you can vote early and in person on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Office of Election and starting this Saturday at all locations listed below.
As well as 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and the following weekend dates:

Vote by Mail Deadlines
If you’re voting by mail, the deadline to request a ballot is this Friday, June 6th, by 5:00 p.m.
Completed ballots must be postmarked by June 17th and received by the Office of Elections by 12:00 p.m. for your voter to be counted.

PWC311
Prince William County has officially launched PWC 311, a new centralized platform that enables residents, businesses, and visitors to request services, report issues, and access government support through their preferred mode of communication. Designed to optimize customer satisfaction and service delivery, PWC 311 connects users to county departments through a single, user-friendly system available by phone, mobile app, web portal, and “Will” — a new multi-lingual Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot available on the county website.
With PWC 311, constituents have multiple options to connect with county government when it’s convenient for them. Service requests can be submitted through the 311 call center during business hours and 24/7 through the online portal, mobile app, or AI chatbot. Once a user submits a request, it is automatically routed to the correct county department for resolution. Users receive a confirmation number that enables them to track the progress. Portal and app users can create an account to track the status of all their service requests and can also opt-in to receive email updates.
Juneteenth
On June 19th, Juneteenth, we commemorate a defining moment in American History. Juneteenth marks the day, in 1865 when the news that slavery had ended in the United States reached Galveston, Texas — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.
Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and progress. It’s also a time to reflect and honor the legacy of Black abolitionists, educators, community leaders, and civil rights champions who helped move our nation toward justice.

- Town of Dumfries Juneteenth Parade | Thursday, June 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Juneteenth & Me Festival | Thursday, June 19th at 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
PRIDE
June is Pride Month—a time to honor the diversity, resilience, and achievements of the LGBTQIA+ community. It’s a celebration of identity, love, and a reminder of the ongoing fight for equality and inclusion.
Pride is also a call to reflect, uplift marginalized voices, and stand in solidarity with those working toward a more just and affirming world.
